Our Mission
Welcome to the Avondale Estates First Baptist Church Parents Morning Out (PMO) program. We are so delighted you have chosen our program for your child and look forward to working with you.
Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment full of learning opportunities for each child to learn and grow. Our goals are to:
· Establish a partnership with parents to create the best experience for each child
· Provide a loving and caring environment
· Establish routines and foster independence
· Provide opportunities for success
· Establish a basis for the development of concepts by stimulating a child’s interest in his/her world
· Seek a balance for each child socially, physically, cognitively, and emotionally

Please enter the building though the back parking lot.
Each child should be signed in and out every day. Please check the phone number where you can be reached that day.
For children in the infant room, please inform the staff of your child’s feeding schedule, and please bring any comfort items that he/she may need.
Please remember to fill out all required documentation and hand it in right away.
What to bring
Your child should come dressed appropriately for the weather, inside temperature adjustments (air conditioning or heating), outside and play time.
Please bring:
· Change of clothes
· Lunch and drink
· Diapers/pull-ups if needed
· Baby wipes, bibs, spoons, and extra bottles for babies.
All articles of clothing, lunch, bag, etc. should be clearly marked with your child’s name. Loveys and pacifiers are always welcomed in the infant room, but we ask that toddlers and preschoolers leave these items at home, this also includes toys.
Donations are always welcomed and appreciated.
If you would like your child to have insect repellent or sunscreen applied, please do so prior to your arrival at PMO.
Important Notes
· If your child is to go home with someone other than yourself or spouse, we must have permission in writing on file. Our staff has the right to refuse pick up if we do not have written authorization on file. Anyone we are not familiar with on your permission to pick up list must show a photo ID.
Please introduce anyone whom you have authorized to pickup your child to the director and to your child’s staff.
· While we encourage potty training at the appropriate ages, we can only support the efforts made at home. We will accept children in pull-ups when they understand the concept and are going on a regular basis at home. We will accept a child in underwear, when they are fully potty trained. Otherwise, please send you child in diapers.
